Welcome to Bed and Breakfast Lokaal Wadway. The village of Wadway, with its beautiful Church Theatre and peaceful rural surroundings, is located in the heart of West Friesland. Our building dates back to 1820; it was originally a school, then became a grocery store, and subsequently a private residence.
We moved here in 2018 and renovated the house to modern standards while respecting the property. We have a warm, quiet, country style. There is plenty to do and see in the surrounding area. Beautiful Hoorn, as well as Medemblik and Enkhuizen, are easily accessible by bike. On the other side, we have Alkmaar with its famous cheese market, Bergen, Bergen aan Zee, and Egmond aan Zee with its weekly street fair during the summer months. Texel is also easily accessible by car and ferry, allowing you to explore the island by your own bike or a rental. There are numerous cycling routes around our B&B. Amsterdam is easily accessible by train from Hoorn or by car in 40 minutes. The Zaanse Schans, with its beautiful windmills, can be reached by car in 26 minutes.
When you return in the afternoon, you can make use of our beautiful terrace with a view over the meadows. Afterwards, in our common room, you can enjoy a game or sit down for a good conversation.
